Mid-Autumn Festival

Every year, to celebrate Moon Festival, we go on a moon picnic.  We bake moon cookies and go out to watch the moon rise over the treetops.  This year it was raining a little so we took the truck and had our picnic in the back of the truck.  We took flashlights so we could read the story of Mid-Autumn Festival.

Here are our cookies!

Building the Bunk Bed

It's Kindergarten Time!

Joy wasn't very happy to go to school on her first day of Kindergarten.
The next day was much better!

This was Joy on her 5th birthday, June 2009. What thrills me most is that her crimples (creases + dimples) are still a part of her pretty face.
This was Joy in April 2005 when she first revealed her crimples.

Portland is having a snowstorm. It's the most snow we've had in 40 years. Schools closed for a week before Christmas break and most businesses are closed. We've had some time to enjoy the snow. Joy built her first snowman and then we borrowed a sled from the neighbors and sled down our driveway. Later we borrowed another sled and went up to our grocery store/Starbucks/Hollywood Video for a little fresh air.

Labor Day 2006

Joy is singing in her crib. It is naptime but I guess she isn't tired. She probably wants to be outside in her pool.
